The ceremony was heartfelt and moving (even I got teary-eyed!).

The travel theme was evident throughout the reception decor.
Instead of a guestbook, we spread out postcards for guests to write their well-wishes,
and collected them in a vintage suitcase.
The bride and groom were completely surprised by a family member's gift of a mariachi band to serenade them. When the band appeared right when we were about to transition from cocktail hour to the reception room, it required some quick thinking. To keep us on schedule, we had the mariachi band lead guests upstairs in a spontaneous parade and play while dinner commenced.

Instead of table numbers, each table was named after a place the couple had visited.
A great way to further showcase your bouquets is to use the bridesmaid bouquets again as centerpieces.
If dessert is included in your catering package, you may not want a full-scale wedding cake too.
A small cake on a pedestal is perfect so that you can still capture the classic cake cutting.
Formal affairs don't have to be stuffy!
With a game table, the couple gave a nod toward their fun-loving and whimsical sides.
